Letterpress emboss text effect photoshop tutorial

In this tutorial you will learn how to do the ever trendy letter press effect. Its one of the hottest things in web design at the moment and is soooo quick and easy.
i also use illustrator cs4 but it doesnt seem to contain the fx button used in this tutorial (bevel – emboss etc). Is it a plugin or there are diffirent versions of the program?
