I suggest u get Phpdesigner or notepad++ they make it look so much nicer then writing it in notepad
A div defines a section of your document that you can later style with or without an id/class. An id specifies a unique id to an tag in your document. A class is the same but can be used more then once whereas an id can only be used once in your document.
Also its worth noting on a very large website an internal stylesheet is not a good idea and even if i were making a small site i wouldnt style internally. Theres alot of reasons why, just use google to find out why external styling is better.
